Event Description

On August 21, 2017, the Moon will pass directly in front of the Sun, a phenomenon viewable throughout the country!  While the path of the total solar eclipse passes through Oregon, observers in northern California will experience from a 75 to 90 percent partial solar eclipse at a time when many schools are in session!  Take advantage of this spectacular teachable moment, and engage your class and community in investigating and experiencing the eclipse.
